Why is Ajay Devgn scared?

The Padmavati factor has instilled fear in the minds of many filmmakers who want to make biopics and period-based drama. Ajay Devgn, for instance, is now worried about his biopic on Tanaji Malusare and the repercussions that film can have post the violent protests against Padmavati.

“The film Taanaji is based on the Maratha warrior Malusare, who fought the battle of Pratapgad and died. The fort was named Sinhagad later. The interesting point was that he recaptured the fort from the Mughals, but the custodian of the fort was a Rajput named Udaybhan Rathod. The film is being produced by Viacom, which is also producing Padmavati. They now want to ensure that that everything is in order in terms of the script and they are not hurting any sentiments of either the Rajputs or the Marathas, or even the Mughals for that matter,” says a source.
