Though Disha Patani may have made her debut with Telugu film, Loafer opposite Varun Tej, the offers started flowing in soon after. And she went on to play Sushant Singh Rajput's love interest in M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story, to great reviews.

Soon we will be seeing Disha on the silver screen opposite her rumoured boyfriend Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 2 now.

“Actually, I have no friends in the industry, I am friends only with the Shroffs. Tiger and I have a platonic relationship. He is helpful and humble, and that comes from his family. This was something I figured after meeting his parents. They both are down to earth. I am happy to have this family as my friends. I know they will readily help me at all times,” she smiles

Addressing the rumours of Tiger and her relationship, the introverted actress quickly attributes it to social media instead. “People see us in a restaurant or at movies, and they immediately put up stories on social media. And as people are keen on watching us perform to the best of our abilities on screen, I am concentrating on my work. It has not been that long for me in the industry and I need to prove myself,” asserts Disha.

She further dismisses the notion of getting work through socialising. “I am not a party animal and love being indoors. But slowly I am getting work, and that is because of my talent,” she says.

Recalling her initial days in the industry, Disha says though she wanted to be a pilot but believes in destiny. “I came to Mumbai to participate in a contest. An agency saw me after that I started getting modeling and commercial offers,” she smiles. And one fine day she was offered M.S.Dhoni.

We quiz her on not really having received any constructive criticism so far, Disha points that she has just started her journey. “I haven’t heard any yet, but whenever I do hear criticism, I will try to evolve and work on my weaknesses,” she says, adding, “Sometimes I hear uncalled for criticism and it hurts. But I am a positive person. I know this is not the end of the word and keep moving on.”

Talking about her much-awaited Sunder C. film Sangamitra, where the actress has stepped in for Shruti Hassan, she is least bothered about the replacement and is concentrating on the trilingual flick.

“The film is shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. I am happy to be a part of this project. It is a tough job to mouth dialogues in three different languages and give expressions. I am putting in my best. Also, I don’t know who I’m cast opposite yet,” chuckles Disha.

On speaking three different languages, the Baaghi 2 actress thinks the makers will have to resort to dubbing.

“Will you be able to speak in Chinese? It is of course very difficult to speak a language fluently until you have learned it from your early childhood. I am sure for Telugu and Tamil I will have dubbing. There is no other way out,” shrugs Disha.
