Did Priyanka Chopra take a dig at Deepika Padukone?

Mumbai: On Wednesday, Priyanka Chopra appeared in a jovial mood at the press conference of her Hollywood film ‘Baywatch’.

After completing season two of the ‘Quantico’ series, the sexy siren has taken a break from Hollywood and has landed in Mumbai.

Since it was after a long break, that PeeCee was interacting with the Indian media, her answers were as candid as she was at the meet.

Now that Priyanka has absorbed the Hollywood arena, we were too eager to know, were Indians or browns being welcomed warmly and accepted by Hollywood.

To which, the ever-so-humble diva replied, "You can't be so entitled as being from Hindi film industry. We can't say that if we are stars in India we will be stars everywhere. I am okay to walk into a room and introduce myself as,  'Hello, I am Priyanka Chopra. I am an Indian actor.' There's nothing small about it; our achievements are quite big. Of course, people didn't know me then. I never thought they were mean except a few.”

Priyanka also made it to the most popular talk shows in America, and therefore while sharing her experiences with the American press, she admitted, “I think American press was wonderfully accepting of me. In fact, I haven't seen them being that good to any other Indian actor. They have been loving, friendly and encouraging of me.”

Well, we all know that Priyanka’s contemporary Deepika Padukone, too made her Hollywood debut with ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’, opposite Vin Diesel.

And reportedly there have been instances where Deepika was mistaken for Priyanka by the American press.

By saying that she doesn’t think she has seen the press in Hollywood being good to any other Indian actor; did Priyanka slyly take a dig at Deepika?
