Suniel Shetty in Darbar?

Suniel Shetty seems to be enjoying his Southern sojourn quite a bit. After picking up films in Malayalam and Kannada, Suniel is set to enter the Tamil film industry with Darbar.

Sources inform that the brawny veteran is all set to lock horns with Rajinikanth in Darbar. “They are looking at Suniel to play an important role in the film. Anna is keen, but then the details are being locked at the moment and it is not clear if Suniel has signed on the film as yet,” informs a source.

Recently, Suniel’s look in the Kichcha Sudeep starrer Pailwan surfaced online. Sudeep had shared the look of Suniel in the film stating that he would be called ‘Sarkar’ in the film. The film will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. Incidentally, Kichcha will also be seen in Dabangg 3 and hence this project is a lot bigger than a regional project.

Apart from these projects, Suniel has also been seen essaying the role of a 16th-century warrior in the Mohanlal starrer Marakkar: The Lion Of The Arabian Sea, a Malayalam film but expected to be dubbed in other languages. The film is directed by Priyadarshan with whom Suniel has done multiple Hindi films in the past.

Because of this bond, Priyan is set to direct Hera Pheri 3 as well. A formal announcement is expected in the near future.
