While there are many speculations about who will be cast in the leads in the Satte Pe Satta remake produced by Rohit Shetty, writer-director Farah Khan confirmed that the announcements regarding the film will be made within a month.

“Rohit and I are collaborating on a film, and we are working on the details of the project at the moment. You will hear of everything in an official announcement that will come within a month,” promised Farah, who announced the news while on a live auction-based show for a satellite channel.

Multiple names — from Hrithik Roshan to Kriti Sanon and Anushka Sharma to Priyanka Chopra — have been making the rounds to be cast in the film, but none of them have signed on the dotted line yet.

Meanwhile, the choreographer-turned-filmmaker says that there cannot be a bigger fan of OTT platforms than her. “I love OTT platforms. Every platform is linked to my television set and I watch all the shows that are garam (hot),” says Farah, who is also producing the Netflix film Mrs Serial Killer, which is directed by her husband Shirish Kunder.

“We have Jacqueline Fernandez, Manoj Bajpayee and Mohit Raina in the film. OTT platforms provide you the scope to make films that cannot be made as feature films for the big screen. If your content is atrangi (out of the box), then they like it a lot more. These projects are not bound by the cast, and the only demand they have is of content,” she says.

Looking towards the future, Farah, who has been in the industry for 27 years, says: “Hopefully with the OTT platforms coming in, I can spend 27 more years doing content.”
Well, fingers crossed!
