Fateh finally for Sunny-Santoshi

The actor Sunny Deol and filmmaker Santoshi have buried the hatchet to work together on Fateh Singh.

And finally, after a string of flops this year — Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, Mohalla Assi and Bhaiaji Superhit — Sunny Deol has gone back to the man who gave him a series of hits in the ’90s, Rajkumar Santoshi.

The two have been contemplating working together again and have finally decided to bury the hatchet and do so.

The fight between the two started when Rajkumar made The Legend of Bhagat Singh with Ajay Devgn and the film was pitched opposite 23rd March 1931: Shaheed starring Bobby and Sunny himself.

All the three films that Sunny did with Santoshi between 1990 and 1996 were superhits; namely, Ghayal, Damini and Ghaatak. “Sajid Qureshi is a producer who has made two not so successful films at the box office, Naanu Ki Jaanu and Fryday. But he managed to get Santoshi and Sunny to come together for this film called Fateh Singh. The same film was earlier offered to Ajay Devgn, who turned it down. The film was in the market for a while, searching for a producer. And finally, the deal has been inked,” says a trade source.
