Actress Sanya Malhotra, who impressed the audience with her power packed performance in her debut film Dangal, has followed a very strict and healthy diet since then.
Recently, in an Instagram live session, the actress revealed details of her diet and workout regimen. While playing a wrestler in Dangal required the actress to attain a certain physique and maintain it through the film’s shoot. The actress included various changes in her diet and followed it very strictly, and continues to do so even today.
She says, “To lead a healthy lifestyle, you need to have a healthy balanced diet, exercise and rest. I am a fan of desi food and prefer dal chawal with ghee, dahi chawal, and khichdi. So, my fitness mantra is to train hard, eat clean and sleep at least eight hours a day. Nothing can happen overnight. Only with regular and consistent training, can your body change.”
In Instagram live session, the actress also suggested essential winter foods to her fans and followers: jaggery, sugarcane juice, congee, chikki, gajak and her favourite matthi achar. Though she loves junk food and is a coffee person, Sanya savours her favourite food only on her cheat days.
