Hindi Medium 2 to go on floors soon

Even as Irrfan Khan has just won the Best Actor Award, and Hindi Medium bagged the Best Film award at one popular award ceremonies, the team is almost ready with the script of the second part.

Directed by Saket Chaudhary who has earlier made franchise films like Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Hindi Medium dealt with the trials and tribulations of a couple from Chandni Chowk, who wanted their daughter to study in an English medium school. It went on to become a super hit at the best office. Pakistani actress Saba Qamar was the lead in the first part of the movie. Sources say that it is highly unlikely that the actress will be repeated in the sequel.

Confirming the development, producer Bhushan Kumar says, “The script is ready and we are starting pre-production of the film. Hindi Medium was my first award as a producer. The people loved the film. Irrfan is also ready. We will be going on the floors once the preparatory work is complete.”
