Akshay Kumar to star in Hindi remake of South horror film Kanchana 2
Mumbai: Bollywood's versatile actor Akshay Kumar, who is currently one of the most busy actors in the industry has apparently signed one more film. This film is none other than the Hindi remake of hit Tamil horror comedy 'Kanchana 2'. Latest reports suggest that, Akshay Kumar will do a lead role in the remake of this superhit Tamil film.
South trade analyst, Ramesh Bala shared the news on his Twitter account, ” @akshaykumar to remake @offl_Lawrence – @taapsee ‘s 2015 Blockbuster #Kanchana2 in Hindi..”

Looks like Akshay has become quite fond of South movies. But as of now, no official announcement has been made yet.
Interestingly, at the closing ceremony of IFFI 2017, The 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' star revealed that he would like to do a film like 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'. He stated, "I really like horror comedy. I want to do a film like Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I want to work in a film like that. I am looking for a good script."
'Kanchana 2' was a 2015 Tamil horror comedy film directed by Raghava Lawrence, who also acted in the lead role. The movie also featured Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen and Kovai Sarala in lead roles and was a huge hit crossing 100 crore mark.
Akshay Kumar is currently awaiting the release of R Balki’s social drama 'PadMan' which is releasing on February 9. The Khiladi star has his hands full with Reema Kagti’s 'Gold', Rajinikanth starrer sci-fi film '2.0' and a period drama 'Kesari'.
