The film garnered an earth-shattering opening on Day 1, much thanks to its massive hype and cult following.

Mumbai: SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' was bound to take an earth shattering opening, but one of this magnanimity had not been expected.

The Prabhas-Rana Daggubati, which has come to be dubbed as India's first truly 'national' film, had been highly anticipated for the longest time, and the sheer essence of it reflects in its opening day collections.

'Baahubali: The Conclusion' has become the first Indian film to gross over 100 crore rupees approximately in its opening day itself.

According to boxofficeindia.com, the film has collected a record 40 crore rupees approximately from its Hindi version itself, thereby eclipsing the first day record of Salman Khan's 'Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo,' which stood at 39.32 crore rupees approximately.

The collections from the Andhra-Telangana belt is even better with nearly 45-50 crore rupees expected to have been raked in.

In despite of initial glitches with respect to its release in Tamil Nadu, the film managed a commendable 14 odd crores from the region, while adding a further 100 crore approx. from Karnataka and 4 crore rupees approx. from Kerala.

The final figures are expected to be anywhere between 100-120 crore rupees approximately.

With no film set to pose a challenge to this grandiose venture, 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' is expected to have a cakewalk towards the unprecedented 1000 crore mark.
