Athiya Shetty’s next flick with the incomparable Nawazuddin Siddique titled Motichoor Chaknachoor is all set to create a box office history, as this will be Athiya’s third marriage ceremony on reel.

But as for her real life, Athiya has no plans of marriage yet. “Real life mein marriage ka abhi kuch plan nahi hai (In real life, there’s no plans of getting married now),” she reveals, adding that it happens only when one is ready. “It happens when a person is ready, and I am not even ready for shaadi. There is no timeline at all, and my parents (Suniel and Mana Shetty) have not enforced a time frame for me to get married and start a family either. I do not believe there is any timeline, especially when it comes to marriage, because when the mind is ready, then marriage comes about on its own. As we say: Marriages are allotted in heaven but we get knotted on the earth,” she opines.

Nevertheless, the actress still believes in the institution of marriage, “I have seen my parents and my grandparents enjoying a blissful married life. I have also seen love all around me, and I feel love is very important in our lives. Who would not wish to love and be loved?” she muses.

As for her post-potential-marriage plans, Athiya isn’t sure if she wants to live in a joint family with her potential husband. “Pehle shaadi toh ho jaye (let me get married first), then I will know whether I want to live in a joint family. I believe that in today’s times, whether they wish to live with their parents or not, living with your parents and grandparents is a great experience and a good feeling,” she concludes with a smile.
