Bhushan Kumar is confident about Noor's success
After coming up with realistic cinema like Baby, Airlift and Sarbjit, Bhushan Kumar is next up with Noor. Sonakshi Sinha’s role as a journalist has already got audiences talking about the film. Based on a novel Karachi, You’re Killing Me!, the film producer is keen on releasing the film in Pakistan. He says, “We don’t know the screen count as yet, however, the film will certainly release in Pakistan. We are sure that audiences in Pakistan too will like the film.”
The film producer reveals that Sonakshi was the first choice for the film. “Right from the time I read the script, I had Sonakshi in mind for the role. When you see the film, you will realise why no one else could have been Noor Roy Choudhary. Sonakshi is in a never-seen-before avatar as the girl next door.”
With the exception of Neerja, films like Sarbjit and Akira (also a Sonakshi-starrer), didn’t fare exceptionally well at the box office. But Bhushan isn’t worried about it at all. He says, “The audiences have evolved. Today all that matters is a good film — Noor is one such project. I am confident that the film will be a hit.”
