Kajol not in Karan Johar’s Takht
Contrary to what rumours suggest, the actress will not make an appearance in the film.
Ever since Karan Johar announced his upcoming directorial venture, Takht, rumours have been doing the rounds that the film will feature a guest appearance by Kajol.
The actress was one of the leading ladies of Karan’s debut film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and she has featured in several films of his, including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan. However, she has dismissed rumours regarding any involvement with Takht, saying “I am not doing anything other than Helicopter Eela. I don’t know where these reports are coming from.”
As per the official announcement made by the filmmaker, the cast of Takht includes Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. The film is said to tell a story of family, ambition, greed, betrayal, love and succession, and it’s slated for release in 2020.
