Another Amitabh Bachchan health ‘scare’

When Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his official blog: “I must retire…the head is thinking something else and the fingers another…it’s a message…(sic),” his words were misinterpreted by many of his fans and the members of the media, leading to questions and buzz about the thespian’s health.

Ostensibly with the increased number of illnesses that the actor has been facing in the recent past, and with an additional hectic schedule at work, speculations have been rife whether the actor wanted to take a break from the cinema for good.

However, people who are close to the actor say that everybody is reading too much between the lines. “He only mentioned that he was tired of typing and wanted to rest because he was feeling tired. By ‘retire’ he meant to retire for the day,” clarifies a source.

Bachchan’s extended family, known as his EF, is a group of people who interact with him on blogs and have formed a fan family for him. While the EF has been quite concerned about his health, they are also perturbed now by the social media and the media reacting to each of his statements in his blogs, albeit how cryptic they are.

Meanwhile, the actor is awaiting the release of his films like Chehre, Gulabo Sitabo, and Jhund, and has a few days of work left on the former apart from pending work in the Ayan Mukherji directed film Brahmastra where he has a pivotal role along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
