Kendall and Kylie apologise
Supermodels Kendall and Kylie Jenner were slammed for selling t-shirts featuring their faces cropped over images of late rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. on their website. Singer Ozzy Osbourne was also featured on the t-shirts. However, this didn’t go well with Biggie’s mother and Sharon Osbourne, who claimed that they weren’t contacted for permission. Sharon tweeted, “Girls, you haven’t earned the right to put your face with musical icons. Stick to what you know… Lip gloss.”
Kendall and Kylie took to Twitter to apologise and informed fans that the t-shirts have been removed from retail. “These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologise to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artistes. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The t-shirts have been pulled out from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry,” they wrote, reported JustJared.com.
