Lady Gaga donates USD 1 million to victims of hurricanes

She made the donation to help those affected by multiple storms, which ripped through Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands.

Washington D.C.: Following devastating hurricanes that hit the U.S. and the Caribbean in recent weeks, U.S. pop star Lady Gaga has donated USD 1million to the relief efforts.

The 31-year-old revealed on Twitter that she made the generous donation to help those affected by multiple storms, which ripped through Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands.

She wrote, "While praying every day, I'm also donating $1Mil to relief efforts for Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose, Maria and the Mexico City earthquake."

She has joined an ever growing list of celebrities, who have pledged their support in the wake of the disasters with Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Sandra Bullock and Leonardo DiCaprio all making substantial donations.

The 'Million Reasons singer,' who was recently forced to cancel the remaining European leg of her Joanne world tour due to health problems, revealed the news on Twitter on Sunday.
