Justin Bieber, Usher off the hook
The suit had been filed by two artistes Devin Copeland (De Rico) and Mareio Overton.
Justin Bieber and Usher, who were sued for allegedly ripping off another artiste De Rico’s song, have been officially let off without any damages to be paid.
According to TMZ.com, an appeals judge had deemed the two songs — both called Somebody To Love — somewhat similar, but the judge in the actual had ruled that while the similarities were “modest”, they didn’t warrant a lawsuit.
The suit had been filed by two artistes — Devin Copeland (De Rico) and Mareio Overton, with their version of the song releasing in 2008, two years before the Bieber-Usher track released.
