La La Land makers contemplating to convert the film to live stage show

"If we want to do a stage show, we can do a stage show. We haven't hit out full expansion."

Mumbai: Following the huge success of the musical movie ‘La La Land’ Lionsgate reveals there is a possibility of live stage show based on it.

In a presentation at Inventors Day event in Denver on January 10, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-president Erik Feig said they may think of converting the Ryan Gosling-Emma Stone starrer into a stage show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"If we want to do a stage show, we can do a stage show. We haven't hit out full expansion," Fieg said.

During the presentation, Feig mentioned that ‘Step Up’ franchise, which has expanded into a live stage show currently playing in Dubai, inspired him to translate Damien Chazelle's movie into a live stage production.

‘La La Land’, directed by Damien Chazelle, took home seven awards at the 74th Golden Globes. The movie has also scored 11 nominations at the upcoming BAFTAs.
