Simon Cowell to be Godfather

Opening up to The Mirror about former co-judge of the X Factor, Cheryl, who welcomed a baby girl recently with Liam Payne, Simon Cowell said that he would gladly be the baby’s Godfather, of the latter asks him.

Expressing that he can relate to the new mother since he, too, had a baby boy, Eric, just three years ago, Cowell said he can’t wait to see the two boys begin play dates together.

Simon’s revelation about Cheryl comes after her pregnancy was veiled by secrecy. “Cheryl seems in a good place. Having gone through it myself, it is quite nerve racking, but this is going to be the making of her. From people I know who have been with her, she’s ecstatic, so I’m happy for her,” he said. referring to how he hasn’t met the baby girl yet, he told The Mirror, “I haven’t had the call yet but I would be a godfather if asked.”

Simon says he is eager to work with his former co-star again, but admits that it won’t be in X Factor.
