Robert Linhart, a retired firefighter and an obsessed fan of singer Madonna was arrested way back in 2010, after he camped outside Madonna’s home with a sign that read, “M, the Universe brought us together in 1992 and again this year in Prague. Meet me please XXX.”

Soon the cops arrived and asked him to leave, but when he refused to do so, they arrested him.

After he was convicted of resisting arrest, Robert went ahead and filed a law suit against several NYPD cops. He accused them of kicking and beating him in the back, neck, shoulders and arms reported TMZ.com

The latest news on this front is that, Robert has now said that if they want the lawsuit to go away, the city will have to pay him $5 million.

As of now, there has been no word on how much settlement he will be paid, but according to reports Robert’s lawyer will be meeting the city’s lawyers soon.
