Anna Faris pays fine

Actress Anna Faris had to pay $5,000 fine after she abandoned her pet dog. She had adopted a Chihuahua four years ago. The dog was found emaciated and wandering the streets last month, reported DailyMail.co.uk.

The organisation from where she adopted the dog questioned her. “The puppy you adopted from us years ago was found starving on the street. Did you read your contract about giving our dogs away and the $5,000 fine?” they said, and added, “Being a celebrity does not excuse you from following the rules or respecting the rescue you adopted the dog from, or abiding the contract.”

“Anna is thrilled that the dog has been found, and is ensuring all necessary arrangements are made to bring the dog home,” Anna’s representative said in a statement.
