Mark Salling pleads guilty
Former Glee star Mark Salling has pleaded guilty on charges of possessing child pornography. He was arrested in December 2015 for porn involving a prepubescent minor. It has been alleged that he had over 50,000 images of victims between the age range of three and five, on his computer.
On Monday, the actor walked in to a federal court in Los Angeles with a shaved head. He is said to have told the judge that he is on medication for depression.
While a hearing is scheduled on March 7, it is learnt that Salling has discussed with the prosecutors and they have mutually agreed to request the judge to give a smaller sentence of anything between four to seven years in prison. The maximum sentence for the crime is 20 years, reports Justjared.com.
After this development, the 35-year-old actor will have to not just register as a sex offender but will also have to pay restitution and will have to abide by residency restrictions.
