Nicki Minaj topples Aretha Franklin on Billboard charts
The rapper now has had 76 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, three more than singer Aretha Franklin.
Rapper Nicki Minaj now officially has more Billboard Hot 100 hits by a woman in history, by overthrowing the last record held by singer Aretha Franklin, according to Billboard.com.
Her three latest singles, No Frauds, Regret In Your Tears and Changed It took her tally up to 76 songs that have been on the chart, beating Aretha’s record of having 73 song chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 hits, by a woman.
The rapper thanked her fans in a post on Instagram, where she also shared a video of herself twerking in celebration. She wrote “To my fans: I fkn love u guys more than I’ll ever be able to put in words. Thank u so much for your unwavering love & support (sic)”.
