Daniel's final movie Phantom Thread will hit the theatres this December.
Fans were taken by surprise when they heard that the three-time Oscar Winner Daniel Day-Lewis is quitting acting for good! In a statement that was released to JustJared.com, a representative of the 60-year-old actor said, “Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor. He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject.” Why the sudden decision was taken is not clear.

His name is etched in the history of legendary cinema for his roles in Lincoln, There Will Be Blood, My Left Foot and Gangs of New York.
