Los Angeles: Bill Clinton and author James Patterson will be meeting top producers to talk about a movie adaptation of their novel 'The President Is Missing'.

According to Hollywood Reporter, J J Abrams, Steven Spielberg and George Clooney are among those who will be taking in-person meetings with the duo.

The project would be the first book-to-film adaptation for Clinton, who has written three books since leaving the President office in January 2001.

Plot details about the book, due out in June 2018, are scarce but is said to offer "insider details that only a president can know".
