Cyber police to help find actor Varun Dhawan's stalker fan
Mumbai: A non-cognisable complaint registered by actor Varun Dhawan on Thursday has not seen the light of day as the anonymous caller/stalker is yet to be identified. Sources at Santacruz police station said that the number given by the actor was out of order and so, it was seeking the help of cyber police to track the accused through their Internet Protocol (IP) address.
Police sources said that the number reported by Varun had been untraceable ever since the actor reported the incident ten days ago on November 2, when an unknown person started messaging him on WhatsApp and calling him continuously.
The messages included threats of committing suicide if the actor did not talk to his stalker-fan. Scared of possible consequences, Varun immediately submitted a written complaint to Santacruz police station, and a non-cognisable complaint was filed on Wednesday.
A source said that as the unknown person mentioned in the actor’s complaint was not reachable, the police was tracking the IP address.
