Chandan Saxena shares his life musical journey
Hailing from Delhi, Chandan Saxena was always drawn to music from an early age thanks to his father.
Music has always been an integral part of Bollywood movies. And often we tend to forget the people working behind the scenes who deliver such chartbuster hits. One such musician who has a long list of churning out hits after hits is none other than Bollywood’s most loved music composer Chandan.
Chandan Saxena is a music composer, as well Music Director. Hailing from Delhi, Chandan Saxena was always drawn to music from an early age thanks to his father. He first learned to play the guitar when he was still in school. And so after completing his graduation, he enrolled himself at the the Delhi University to study and Music At GMI . It was during this period that he received his first offer to compose music for a Bollywood film called ‘Kal Hamara Hai.’
During his early days, Chandan was also a part of His Band called “Chandan Saxena Collective ” which he formed with his college batchmates and later HE came to mumbai.’
It was in 2012 when Chandan landed in Mumbai to try his luck at Bollywood. He met several other struggling artists like him and got a chance to compose advertisement jingles for numerous popular brands. He even got a chance to compose TV serial title tracks. Befriending struggling artists proved to be crucial for Chandan as he got his first break when Naresh Dudani, a struggling director at the time, was hired to direct a film and he in turn hired Chandan Saxena and one of his other friends to compose music for the film. Although the film did not work, Chandan was signed for one more film .
Chandan went on to compose and deliver hits for the director’s next movie, ‘Bhaiya Ji Superhit’. He went to achieve a lot of recognition and accolades for his compositions in the movie. And that proved to be his turning point. It was only looking up for the music composer from here on.
With a career spanning Years ,Chandan has delivered many hit songs and soundtracks for movies that have gained him immense success. It wouldn’t be wrong to say he is one of the best and most sought-after musicians in Bollywood.
