Straight from the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs

Much like the show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, the sets of the reality show instantly transports one to the world of music the moment you step inside. When we visited the sets, the young contestants were belting out retro hits. Here’s all the action straight from the sets:

The retro girl: Contestant Sonakshi Kar’s outfit reminds us of the ’70s. She looks like the complete package as she crooned the retro number, Ye Dil Tum Bin Kahin Lagta Nahin. Sonakshi’s performance also earned her a thunderous applause.

Little Shammi Jayash Kumar: The stage came to life as Jayash Kumar began singing Shammi Kapoor’s biggest hit Chahe Koi Mujhe Junglee Kahe’. Even judge Himesh Reshammiya could not stop himself from jumping on-stage and telling him, “Tussi great ho, paaji”.

That candid moment between the shots: We caught the judges stealing some time off between the shots in this candid frame. While Neha Kakkar and Javed Ali are getting the customary touch-up done, Himesh seems to be recharging his batteries with a cup of piping hot coffee.

The band of boys: It is this group that gets the show together, given that they are the ones providing the music to each song. The orchestra is an integral part of a singing reality show. This shot captures the gang play in all their glory.

When Javed became the knight-in-shining armour: A hot favourite with the kids, and their parents, Javed Ali doesn’t leave a single opportunity to charm the ladies. Here, he was transformed into a knight, with a sword in hand, et all. Needless to say, the mommies swooned.

Spoilt for choice: The second change on the sets made everyone mushy. Judge Neha looking resplendent in red traditional attire, and has two admirers vying for her attention — Aditya Narayan and Jayash.
