Music lovers from across the globe will agree that Tomorrowland is one of the most sought-after dance festivals in the world. And representing India (also the only Indian artists to play at the festival) are Lost Stories’ Prayag Mehta and Rishab Joshi. Being two Gujarati boys from Mumbai, they say that this dream was far-fetched for them, but it did come true back in 2015, and now again this year.

“Tomorrowland is a festival that every DJ has dreamed of performing at. This year we are performing at one of the biggest stages and also at the six curated pre-parties by Budweiser and Tomorrowland,” Prayag says, adding, “This year is extremely special for us also because we are performing for the second time and we excited to showcase a lot of our own new music. This will be our chance not only to cement our places as DJs but also producers. Production is what we started our careers with and to get a chance to showcase it on the world’s biggest stage is nothing short of a feat in itself. We will be choosing a few of the best tracks that are pouring in and make them a part of our set for Tomorrowland. Also, we are excited to present to the world our modish sounds with Indian ethnic elements.”  After the festival, they also plan to tour in the USA, Dubai and the UK. About the differences that they find while performing at music festivals in India versus their international counterparts, Rishab shares, “The standards of international music festivals are high in terms of logistics, hospitality and overall management. We believe that Indian music festivals will reach that stage soon enough.”

The duo is quite famous for their official remixes of Alan Walker’s Faded and One Republic’s Wherever I Go. Apart with that, the Lost Stories and Armaan Malik’s cover of Justin Bieber’s Sorry has more than half a million views on YouTube.

Their latest release India with Jetfire  and Carta, just released. And they explain that their upcoming single Spread the Fire is a summer anthem with vocals from Marc Wulf, which will be released by Spinnin’ Records next month. “The single has catchy vocals with pop influence and a trademark Lost Stories sound to it. Paradise, which is also signed to Spinnin’ will be released later this year. “We wanted to create a composition which not only artists can play in their sets but also use as background music for their videos,” Rishab says. The track has a long intro gradually fading into vocals recorded by Rishab and finally to the drop which is full of energy. Talking about their biggest achievements, Prayag explains, “We have had several feathers in our hat since the inception of our band. From playing alongside stalwarts like DJ Tiesto to having a number of No. 1 singles to having played at Tomorrowland, MysteryLand and not to forget being voted as the world’s number 52 DJ by DJ Mag are some of the few special achievements.”

Lastly, ask them about their dream project and Prayag shares, “Our dream project to collaborate with Kshmr, the Indo-American DJ, record producer and musician. We feel Kshmr is a champion when it comes to global sounds. He manages to concoct some beautiful sonic blends with a palette that brings the best of Asia and the Mideast into contemporary European and North American dance styles.”
