Sushma Swaraj was a social activist: Mahika Sharma
Mumbai: Former Foreign Minister and BJP veteran Sushma Swaraj died on Tuesday night, as the foreign minister, Sushma Swaraj was loved as much for her quick response to distress messages on Twitter as for her mellow sense of humour.
Former Miss Teen Northeast Northeast, India Mahika Sharma shared a close bond with the late minister. Mourning to her death she said, Swaraj was a real social activist of our country.
"I have known Shushma Ji since 2017. She has been a great and kind soul. Her grounded nature made her favourite to all. Not just people in India but she was admired by foreigners too. She was one of her kind. She always welcomed the common man to communicate and resolve their issues. Being in the dirty world of politics she never allowed it to affect her nature and thoughts. Intact she was also loved by members of her opposition parties. We lost a great soul. My condolences to her family in this hour of grief. May her soul rest in peace," Mahika Sharma said.
Mahika also compared her with the holy mother Sarda Maa, the wife of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. "Whenever I had words with her. I use to remind her that I feel she is just like Sarda Maa. During my schooling, in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya teachers use to tell us about Sarda Maa and her great nature. I could see and feel the same in Sushma Ji," said the 'Ramayana' actress.
