Organised by CINTAA, India’s largest and oldest association working for Cine and TV Artistes, and the 48 Hour Film Project, ActFest is all set to take place next week —February 15 and 16 in Mumbai. Hailed at world’s first actors-only festival, the ActFest will host workshops and lecture series covering aspects like voice culture, grooming, fashion, body language and stress management.
The two-day festival will also see a special section of panel discussions and speeches by actors like Sara Ali Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Manoj Bajpayee, Rasika Duggal, Swara Bhaskar, Gajaraj Rao, Raveena Tandon, Kubbra Sait, Shikha Talsania, Makrand Deshpande, Sachin Khedekar, Satish Kaushik, Sumeet Vyas, Neena Gupta, Jimmy Shergill and more.
The event will also see a section of discussions where the Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods International has consented to be the knowledge partner.
Commenting on the same, General Secretary of CINTAA, Shushant Singh said that Whistling Woods is the 3rd largest institution of media and entertainment in the world and Meghna [Shubahsh Ghai’s daughter] will be attending the Act fest as Ghai Sahab is busy. As an institution, we cannot deprive the students to be a part of the ActFest.
He further added, “Since you guys are talking about the “Me Too” allegations on Ghai Sahab, let me tell you that the allegations have proven to be false. So, if Ghai Sahab was attending the Act Fest, we would have welcomed him.”
The festival will also have a panel discussion centring around critics. Speaking about the same, Amit Behl, Joint Secretary of CINTAA, said, “The critics might pick up a leaf or two from this discussion. Also, the actors will get positive learning’s from this discussion.”
