Ladies, let’s get this straight – well-groomed hands and feet speak volumes about your personality. No matter how busy you are, it’s always a great idea to pamper your nails with a good manicure and pedicure. And if the latest trends are anything to go by, a revolutionary method called the dry mani and pedicure is what’s buzzing. And here’s everything you must know...

PROCEDURE: As the technique is dermatologically tested, dry manicures and pedicures are safe for all skin types. And are done using very basic and fuss-free instruments. For instance, a disposable one-use kit containing a nail filer, cuticle and nail stick are used. The hands and feet are first cleansed and dried thoroughly. Then, a paste of aloe vera, tea tree oil, and strengthening Keratin is applied after which the hands and feet are covered with gloves. The pack is put on for a couple of minutes before removing the gloves and washing it off. Post this step, an extensive cleaning of nails is followed. The hands are air dried and then, an intense massage follows. The practice is a lot more hygienic and relaxing , as a different set of tools and a skin rejuvenating cream is used. It’s also fuss-free as one doesn’t need to soak their hands and feet for long periods.

For those who are easily prone to contracting infections and allergies, or have sensitive or dry skin, this works best. The massage and the use of aloe vera and tea tree oil makes the skin smoother, softer and even removes the tan.
