If you’re one of those whose Fathers’ Day celebrations are spilling over the weekend and into this week, here’s something that’ll indulge your paternal love further. Here are the most iconic TV dads with whom you can share a lot of joy, laughs, deep one-liners and a lot more.

Danny Tanner — Full house

Danny Tanner from Full House is the ultimate ‘uncool’ dad. Throughout the show, he attempts to get along with his daughters, but ends up embarrassing them. Despite all that, he teaches them important lessons. The show’s feel-good vibe has a lot to do with Danny and the love he has for his family. The epitome of a single dad, he manages to deal with his daughter’s antics with a little help from the other father-figures in the household, Jesse and Joey.

Homer Simpson — The simpsons Okay, Homer Simpson might not be a great father but he is a memorable one! Sure, he might forget he has three children, may not understand most of Lisa’s rants and bop Bart on the head often, but he is still lovable! We’re sure, just like Homer, our dads have wanted to scream ‘D’oh!’ when we’ve messed up. Even though Homer may not be perfect, he loves his kids and only has the best intentions for them. And did we mention, he is hilarious

Phil Dunphy — Modern family Phil Dunphy is the dad we all want (don’t tell your dad that). He is more of a kid than his own children, but he lets them be who they are. His son Luke and him love going on adventures together and Phil makes sure that Luke’s inner child never dies. We can guarantee that with Phil around, there will be no lack of excitement. He is also a big softie and needs his wife to implement rules andpunishment, because he just can’t see his kids unhappy!

Martin Crane — Frasier John Mahoney playes Niles’ and Frasier’s father Martin Crane on Frasier — and boy, do we love it! Who knows how somebody like Martin, who is a no-nonsense war vet, ended up with two eccentric sons He was snarky, tough and had difficulty expressing emotion and it stood out so well as compared to his sons. Despite those limitations, it’s obvious that he is proud of his sons in all that they do. He also helped knock some sense into the two, time and again.

Ray Barone — Everbody loves raymond We really do love Raymond because he is one of the funniest fathers television has produced! Not only has the show won many awards but also given us a great TV dad who is most relatable. He was mostly clueless and tried staying out of conflict as much as he could, letting his wife do all the dirty work. He was always full of witty retorts and comedic genius which made him funny but also somewhat annoying. Watching the show makes you have many moments where you think —that’s exactly what my dad would do!

Sandy Cohen - The OC First and foremost, Sandy Cohen had eyebrows before Cara Delevingne made them cool and he’s already won our hearts for it. He took in Ryan when he had nowhere to go, all the while also taking care of his own son, Seth. He gave the world’s best advice and made us laugh and cry. He mortified his kids with his honest speeches and trying-to-fit-in act but loved them just as fiercely. We love his witty back and forth with Seth and his sarcastic humour. The bonus is that he can switch to wise old man in no time. He is not only a great father but an amazing husband as well. If watching Sandy doesn’t make you thank your father several times over, you’re made of stone!
