Dakota Johnson ‘proud of’ Fifty Shades

Dakota Johnson, whose breakout film Fifty Shades of Grey was met with criticism for its portrayal of the story from the novel of the same name by British author E.L. James, said in an interview that she’s still “proud” of the film.

“I’m proud of Fifty Shades of Grey. I don’t need to distance myself from that. The more work I do, the more the general public sees the different things I can do. Do I think it opened doors Yeah. More people know my name,” Dakota told Vogue.

According to DailyMail.co.uk, the movie was called “painfully dull” and “the Downton Abbey of bondage” for toning down the overt sexuality that the book became famous for.
