Gunvant Thakor was born in a small village named  Lhor in the Mehsana District to a survivor family and soon moved to his new home in Thaltej, Ahmedabad helping his parents to earn for the family and his education.

Gunvant Thakor's production career has been touching heights for a decade now. He has been known for his major collaborations with many known faces of the Film and Music Industry. Gunvant Thakor was born in a small village named  Lhor in the Mehsana District to a survivor family and soon moved to his new home in Thaltej, Ahmedabad helping his parents to earn for the family and his education. He has been inspired by his parents since a young age as they worked hard to ensure higher education in Gunvant. His father and mother worked as labours with daily wages to ensure the best education for their son. This eventually led Gunvang to work towards everything he aimed to achieve. From walking 12km to his workplace to opening his venture Laxmi Studio now known as Jigar Studio, he has been working every bit in the music and film industry to make it big from the beginning.

He has also penned many good works including Meldi Mano Madhado for Vikram Thakor. His work includes Tuto Sajan Mara Kadje Korani co-produced with Vikram Thakor, Preet Jhuke Nahi Saath Chhute Nahi, Tu Mari Nai To Koini Nai and Prem Ni Majburi, Nandlala and Jiv Hatheli Par Muki Didho Tara Re Bharose, Upar Aabh Ne Niche Dharti, Juda Thai Ne Jivata Kem Na Sikhvadyu and many more.

He mentioned, "I never thought that I would have done so much work in the industry. I am glad to work with people like Vikram Thakor, Jignesh Kaviraj, Gaman Santhal, Vijay Suvada, Aakash Thakor, Naresh Kanodiya, Hiten Kumar, Hitu Kanodiya, Firoz Irani, Rajdeep Barot, Rakesh Barot. This gives me all the faith to continue working my heart out. I have always learned to go all out and have always drawn inspiration from my parents. All thanks to the roots. I believe in my work and I can say that I got that from my parents as they worked really hard to provide me with appropriate knowledge."
