POSITIONING FOR LEFT HAND

HOLDING OF GUITAR

You can hold it by the neck with your left hand and play with right hand. That's all about a balance that you can make and it is most suitable for experienced guitarists.
So, dear newbies, you can obviously try this but a bit later on. For now, all you need is to make things simpler, more comfortable and easier for yourself, just like sitting on a chair and placing the guitar on your lap.
When you sit on a chair straight and place the guitar on your lap, leaning the guitar upon yourself and the right and left hands as directed to be, that's the best to start with.
You needn't bother about the balancing of guitar as its stable lying on your lap. And as its stable lying by you, it's easier to focus only on playing it. While sitting, your posture too does matter. So, try sitting straight and holding it firm in place.
Make sure to hold it firm but in a relaxed way. Am i spunding repeatative? Well, I guess yes! But, this is really the pivot to the success of your music. Don't go too hard that cramps come up and you get fatigued.
