BJP MLA in row after jibe on Muslims
Jaipur: Days before Lok Sabha bypolls in Alwar, a ruling BJP MLA in Rajasthan on Monday courted controversy by alleging that Muslims were bearing more children with an aim to outnumber Hindus in India. In a Facebook post, Banwari Lal Singhal also said that by increasing their population, Muslims intent to rule in India by 2030.
“In a country where the Muslim population has increased to 30 per cent or more, that country is taken over by Muslims,” he said though he clarified that these were his personal views.
“The Muslims want to rule the country that is why producing more children. They want to isolate Hindus in their own country. They want a Muslim president, prime Minster and chief ministers,” he said while alleging that Muslims are not deterring even from “buying women” from Bihar and Bengal to increase their headcounts.
“Hindus are giving birth to only one or two children and are worried about educating them. But Muslims are thinking about how to take over the nation by increasing their population. Education and development have no significance to them,” Mr Singhal said.
“Once, they (Muslims) outnumber Hindus the latter will be forced to live life of secondary citizens. They are using tax paid by Hindus. There should be a law for both Hindus and Muslims for limiting number of kids to just two.”
According to Singhal, when Hindus progress, they buy cars and houses but when Muslims progress, they buy weapons. He said his post was inspired by a Hindu saint who, according to him, has said that Muslims have the history of taking over the countries where their population goes beyond 30 per cent.
