Sonia Gandhi's message on Telangana Formation Day

Hyderabad: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi on Sunday extended her greetings to the people on Telangana Formation Day and said that the Revanth Reddy government would fulfill all the guarantees promised during the Assembly elections.

In a video message, Sonia Gandhi, who could not attend the celebrations due to health issues, paid homage to the martyrs. Recalling her promise of granting statehood to Telangana in 2004 at a Karimnagar public meeting, she said that there were a lot of challenges, including from within, but the determination of the people of Telangana had given her the strength to fulfill her promise.

She said that the people had given the Congress lot of love in the past 10 years and now they have given the party the responsibility of rebuilding the state. She added that fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Telangana was her responsibility.
