CBI quizzes Tapas Paul's daughter for second time
Bhubaneswar: Sohini Paul, daughter of arrested Trinamul Congress MP Tapas Paul, on Tuesday appeared before the CBI in Odisha capital for the second time in connection with the Rose Valley Group chit fund scam.
On Monday, Sohini had presented herself before the investigating agency here responding to its notice.
Mr Paul while working as a director at Rose Valley Group had given appointments to his wife, daughter and niece in different positions in Rose Valley Group.
Sources said CBI quizzed Sohini on the designation she held at Rose Valley Group and monetary transactions by her during her tenure in the company.
On the other hand, after the three-day remand of Mr Paul came to an end Tuesday, the CBI produced him in the court of special chief judicial magistrate here and prayed for second phase remand for four days. After hearing the CBI counsel, the court granted another three-day remand of Mr Paul.
He was brought to Bhubaneswar from Kolkata on December 31 and produced before the special CJM court which granted the agency a three-day remand of the MP.
