Sushma Swaraj calls Dubai envoy to find lost Kashmiri
New Delhi: External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj sent a strong message on Friday in her own way that Kashmir is an integral part of the country, with the minister directing Indian diplomats in Dubai to make all efforts to locate a Kashmiri man, Irfan Ahmad Zargar, who is missing in Dubai.
After a person from Kashmir tweeted to the minister, asking for her help, Ms Swaraj immediately directed the consul general in Dubai to do the needful, saying, “Irfan Ahmad Zargar is an Indian national from J&K state. Please spare no efforts to locate him.” The person, one Guftar Ahmed, who requested Ms. Swaraj for help in locating Mr Zargar had tweeted, “Irfan Zargar S/O Late Bashir Ahmad Zargar R/O Channa Mohalla Chattabal Srinagar who was working in a private company in Dubai is Missing for the last five Days . Requesting for help in locating him.”
Following this, the consul general in Dubai immediately asked Mr Ahmed to share the passport details of Mr Zargar. “Could you please share his passport details,” the diplomat tweeted.
Ms Swaraj appreciated the swiftness of the Indian diplomat , saying, “I am happy with your prompt response.”
