UP: After buffaloes, cops hunt for sunglasses

A complaint has been lodged for the stolen sunglasses belonging to a police inspector at the Hari Parbat police station in Agra.

Lucknow: After deploying its resources to search missing buffaloes and dogs, the UP police is now searching for stolen sunglasses.

A complaint has been lodged for the stolen sunglasses belonging to a police inspector at the Hari Parbat police station in Agra. The sunglasses are said to be worth Rs 10,000.

According to reports, the sunglasses of the station officer of Hari Parbat police station, Mahendra Chandra Gautam, were stolen and his driver Hitendra Singh has formally lodged a complaint in this regard.

The inspector, in his jeep, had gone to Budhan Sayeed locality after receiving a report of a clash there. The police official got down from the jeep and tried to resolve the dispute and he left his sunglasses in the vehicle. When he returned, the sunglasses were missing. After the driver lodged the report, the CCTV footage of the Budhan Sayeed locality is being screened to find out who stole the sunglasses from the jeep.

It may be recalled that two years ago, the UP police had launched a manhunt for five buffaloes of the then minister Mohd. Azam Khan that had reportedly been stolen from his house in Rampur. The buffaloes were later traced to Moradabad and brought back.

A year ago, the pet dog of MP Ram Shankar Katehria had gone missing and police teams were deployed to search for the dog.
