As government revokes Article 370, Indians rush to look for property in Kashmir
New Delhi: After the announcement of the historic move by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government to revoke contentious Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, twitterati rushed to microblogging site to know the rate of plots in Jammu and Kashmir.

Article 370 of the Constitution that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir was scrapped on Monday, along with Article 35 (A), as Rajya Sabha passed a momentous bill that bifurcates the state into two Union Territories.
Article 35A disallowed people outside from the state from buying or owning immovable property in Jammu and Kashmir, settle permanently or availing state-sponsored scholarship schemes.
It also denied property rights to a woman who married a person from outside the state.
To guarantee the special rights and privileges, the Article 35A said no act of the state legislature that came under it could be challenged for violating the Constitution or any other laws.
