Lucknow: The Jinnah controversy is bank on the campus of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) .

Bhartiya Janata Party MP Satish Gautam has, once again, objected to two photographs of Mohammad Ali Jinnah  displayed in an exhibition of books and photographs of Mahatma Gandhi.

The university authorities have issued a notice to the AMU librarian for using a photograph of Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah with Mahatma Gandhi in the exhibition,

According to AMU Public Relation’s in-charge Shafey Kidwai, an annual feature at AMU is holding a week-long exhibition of books and photographs on Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti.

This year, too, books and photographs were displayed which as always were selected by the library staff.

Two photographs displayed in the exhibition show Mahatma Gandhi with Mohammad Ali Jinnah in a group photograph.

The librarian Dr Amjad Ali has been asked to explain within three days why this particular photograph had been used.
