Bhopal: A bereaved family from Satna in Madhya Pradesh on Monday trooped to their polling booth to cast their votes before performing last rights of their deceased kin.

Ashok Gupta (53), a resident of Satna town, lost his mother Sabitryearly on Monday morning. He led 13 major members in his family to the polling booth. All of them exercised their franchise in the polling booth number 181 in Satna town and then proceeded to the local cremation ground to perform last rites of his deceased mother.

In another development, three brides in district headquarters of Betul in Madhya Pradesh made it sure that they cast their votes before their wedding ceremony.

While Puja Sahu and Kanchan Deshmukh cast their votes in polling booth number 134 in Betul town, Bishnu Bad cast her vote in polling booth number 179 in the area.

Thirteen major members of the family, including five women, dropped in the polling booth number 181 in Satna town to exercise their franchise before proceeding to the cremation ground.
