Man chops off girlfriend's nose, kills her husband
Jaipur: A paramour chopped off his girlfriend’s nose and killed her husband for ditching him. The accused, Jogaram Jat, was arrested on Thursday.
The 30-year-old accused attacked his girlfriend Aasi Devi and her husband Kisnaram with an axe in Cheetar Ka Paar village in Rajasthan’s Barmer district on Wednesday night. While the husband died at the spot; the woman was referred to Jodhpur for being critical.
According to the police, Jogaram was livid that Aasi Devi, who was living with him for past two years, decided to leave him and went back to her husband. Jogaram is unmarried and was reportedly making preparations to marry her. He had prepared documents and even bought jewellery for her. However, he couldn’t digest her decision of going back to her husband.
The woman had got married to Kisnaram but left him to live with Jogaram after a year. Her husband had filed a police case for his wife’s elopement but when the police traced her and produced in the court, she told the court that she willingly went with Jogaram and wanted to live with him.
However, she again changed her mind. She reportedly apologised to her husband and went back to live with him in his house three months ago. In a fit of rage, Jogaram attacked her husband with an axe killing him on the spot. He also hit Aasi Devi on her head with the axe and face chopping off her nose.
The police arrested him with hours and the weapon used in the crime was also seized.
