SC reserves verdict on Tarun Tejpal's plea

The trial court in Goa had in 2017 framed charges against Mr Tejpal on the allegation of sexual assault and wrongful confinement.

New Delhi: The Supreme court on Tuesday reserved its order on a petition by former Tehalka editor Tarun Tejpal seeking quashing of charges framed against him in a case of alleged sexual assault of his junior woman colleague at a five star hotel in Goa in November 2013.

Reserving the order, a bench of Justice Arun Mishra and Justice B.R. Gavai asked why the former Tehalka editor Tejpal sent apologies to the girl after the incident and said it showed something inappropriate.
