Lucknow: BJP workers in UP have been complaining of being ignored by the government while the government, in hushed tones, has been talking of lack of cooperation by the party organization.

The RSS, on Tuesday, finally held marathon meetings with BJP leaders and ministers, including chief minister Yogi Adityanath, in Lucknow to ensure better coordination between the party and the government.

Senior Sangh leaders Dattatreya Hosbale and Gopal Krishna held the meetings in which the two leaders impressed upon the need to gear up for the next general elections.

The Sangh leaders cautioned the BJP about its below average performance in the rural areas in the recent municipal elections and said that the results should be seen as a wakeup call.

The Sangh asked BJP leaders to concentrate on mobilizing party workers instead of raising issues with the government.

The BJP leaders, on the other hand, complained about the shabby treatment being meted out to them by the government, particularly the ministers. Even the legislators complained about their work not been done by their own ministers.

The Sangh inquired about appointments to various corporations and commissions.
