New Delhi: Sushma Swaraj, Foreign Minister of India is known for her swift replies to any Indians calling for help from abroad. She shared about what she has learnt after taking the top job in PM Narendra Modi's cabinet. She wrote on Twitter that she understands English of all accents and grammar.

Swaraj replied to a tweet from an Indian man based in Malaysia seeking her help to send one of his friends back to India. The man's tweet was distorted and had grammatical errors and punctuation mistakes. Reading the tweet another user replied, asking the man to write in Hindi or Punjabi.

That is when Sushma Swaraj responded promptly, 'There is no problem. After becoming Foreign Minister, I have learnt to follow English of all accents and grammar'.

Since taking office in 2014, Swaraj has travelled and met and interacted with various world leaders and diplomats all across the globe. She is India's second woman to take the foreign ministers office after Indira Gandhi.

Although, citing health reasons, she has decided not to contest the national elections which are due to commence in April 2019. 'I am not retiring from politics. It is just that I am not contesting the next Lok Sabha election due to my health issues,' she had tweeted.

Sushma Swaraj was forced to a break from politics back in 2016 after a prolonged setback due to diabetes. She even had a kidney transplant. She is a Lok Sabha lawmaker from Vidisha, some 55 km from Bhopal.
