Yogi government gives Raja Bhaiyya SP prez's bungalow

According to sources, Mr Shivpal Yadav is also set to get a Z-plus security cover.

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government seems to be in a generous mood these days.

After allotting the bungalow vacated by BSP president Mayawati to Shivpal Singh Yadav, the state government has decided to allot the bungalow vacated by SP president Akhilesh Yadav to independent legislator Raghuraj Pratap Singh a.k.a. Raja Bhaiyya.

The bungalow on 4, Vikramaditya Marg has been the centre of a major controversy after it was found that it had been considerably damaged by Mr Akhilesh Yadav before vacating the same. Official sources confirmed on Sunday that the bungalow was being allotted to Raja Bhaiyya.

“We have started the repair work of the bungalow and it should be ready to move in by Diwali,” said a estate department official. This is the first time that an independent legislator will be given a bungalow in VIP area.

Raja Bhaiyya, who had been supporting the Samajwadi Party since 2003 when he was jailed by the then chief minister Mayawati, had parted ways with Mr Akhilesh Yadav in April this year when the SP joined hands with BSP.

Raja Bhaiyya and Mr Shivpal Yadav are both floating their own political outfits and the BJP’s generosity towards them is apparently with an eye on post-poll alliances.

The outfits floated by Raja Bhaiyya and Mr Shivpal Yadav are bound to make a dent in the SP vote bank, making it easier for the BJP.

According to sources, Mr Shivpal Yadav is also set to get a Z-plus security cover.
