BJP focus: Beneficiaries of Modi govt schemes

As per the plan, workers will also tell people how the ruling AAP is taking credit of schemes and programmes of the BJP government at the Centre.

New Delhi: Gearing up for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the Delhi BJP has appointed its experienced leaders as “Labharthi Sampark Pramukh” (LSP) and “Vistarak” to reach out to the beneficiaries of Narendra Modi government schemes and bust the ruling AAP’s claims of welfare and development in the national capital.

A senior party functionary told this newspaper that in the run-up to the approaching Lok Sabha polls, the party aims to contact all the beneficiaries of the schemes of the Modi government to tell them how they can get benefits from the other schemes of the government.

“A list of beneficiaries will be prepared by Labharthi Sampark Pramukh (LSPs) and Vistarak. Further, party workers will be deployed so that each of them contacts 10 beneficiaries,” he added.

As per the plan, workers will also tell people how the ruling AAP is taking credit of schemes and programmes of the BJP government at the Centre.

“They have taken credit for increase in the wages of ASHA workers and ANM (auxiliary nurse midwife) and also for skill development centres, which actually came about due to the Central government’s decisions and funds,” said a senior BJP office-bearer.

BJP plans to reach out to all the estimated 22 crore beneficiaries of various schemes of Modi government such as Ujjwala Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jan Awas Yojna, and Jan Dhan schemes among others.

“In 2014, BJP won Lok Sabha polls by getting around 17.5 votes. If we are able to contact these 22 crore beneficiaries, there is no reason why we will not form government again at the Centre,” said a party insider, adding that there will be one LSP and Vistarak in each of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.

Further, there will be 70 Vistarak in each of the Assembly constituencies.
